FCUK: Father Chitti Umaa Kaarthik Movie Review 2025

FCUK: Father Chitti Umaa Kaarthik (2021) Hindi Dubbed : FCUK (Father, Chitti, Umaa, Karthik) is an adult comedy that revolves around the lives of its lead characters played by Jagapathi Babu, Baby Saharshitha, Ammu Abhirami and Ram Karthik. How Chitti affects the life of everyone around her forms the tale.

Fhani (Jagapathi Babu) is a middle-aged single father who owns a condom company. Karthik (Ram Karthik), his only son is his complete opposite. While the father is a playboy, the son is head-over-heels in love with Umaa (Ammu Abhirami), even if she's engaged to someone else. Chitti (Baby Saharshitha) enters their lives and turns it upside down. How Chitti is related to these motley characters forms the tale.

Vidyasagar spends the first half of the film setting up the love story between Karthik, an event manager and Umaa, a pediatrician. However, the narration is slow and the romance lukewarm. Things only look up once Chitti makes her entry pre-interval, but it takes till the climax for the film’s pace to pick up. And by then, it's too late.

Jagapathi Babu delivers a decent performance but fails to keep the audience hooked, Karthik and Ammu fair alright. The comedy track featuring Master Bharath is meant to be rib-tickling but falls flat. Despite the story at the core of it all, the failed execution makes this film a tiring watch. The dialogues also, like in many Telugu commercial films, are cliché and sexist. It’s time directors find a way to bring their point across without offending a spectrum of people, apart from showcasing the ideology that women need to be ‘submissive’. Pandering to the male gaze is bad enough, but to state that the male gaze relies on how a woman is dressed makes it clear that the director has some homework to do.

Overall, despite a good story that deals with the conservative nature of society, FCUK fails to make a mark. Watch at your own risk!
