Shriya Saran is a popular Indian film actress who works mainly in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. She was born on Tuesday, 28 January 1986 to Pushpendra Saran Bhatnagar and his wife Neeraja Saran Bhatnagar.
Saran has an elder brother named Abhiroop. She did her schooling from Delhi Public School, Ranipur, Haridwar and Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, New Delhi. She then completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi.
In 2001, Shriya made her acting debut in the Telugu film industry with the film “Ishtam”. After this, she acted in a few films in Telugu like Santosham, Chennakesava Reddy and Nuvve Nuvve.
In 2003, she made her Bollywood debut with the film “Tujhe Meri Kasam”. Later, Shriya acted in several films like Neeku Nenu Naaku Nuvu (2003), Tagore (2003), and Ila Cheppanu (2003). She made her Kollywood debut with the film "Enakku 20 Unakku 18".

Shriya Saran was born in a North Indian family in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
She is trained in Kathak and Rajasthani folk dance from an early age under her mother’s guidance.
Shriya completed her schooling and college in Uttarakhand and New Delhi, including studying at Delhi Public School and Lady Shri Ram College.
She later joined an open-air theatre, Jhankaar, at BHEL and received professional Kathak training at 14 under Shovana Narayan.
Early Career
Shriya performed with Shovana’s troupe across India, gaining early exposure to dance performances.
On Shovana’s advice, she auditioned for the music video ‘Thirakti Kyun Hawa’ and was selected. The video brought her to the attention of filmmakers from Ramoji Films, who offered her the Telugu film ‘Ishtam’ (2001).
